Sale-A-Bration Cards

I've been really busy this last week making all kinds of really fun and gorgeous cards. Thursday night was our Shoebox Swap I told you about and as promised, I am posting what we made using Sale-A-Bration stamp sets in the slide show over to the right. One of the cards turned out to be from Happy Heart, but that's OK. I'm getting soooo excited for February 1st when Sale-A-Bration starts; there are so many really fun stamps to get for "FREE"!!!!

In addition to the Shoebox Swap on Thursday, I went to Achievers Club on Friday and we made the following really cute cards. The card with butterfly is from Happy Heart. See?.... it's not just for Valentines Day, this one is a birthday card.
This one is my favorite, using Embrace Life (Sale-A-Bration) set. This was fun to make because we used the crimper in both directions, then bleached out the flower after embossing with Black.
This card is also using the Embrace Life set the Ginger Blossom Designer paper.

Then just because I wanted to play around with some new things, I made the following cards today (in my pajamas)..... boy, do I love weekends :D I know my husband thinks I'm crazy for spending all day in my jammies on Saturdays just stamping and having fun.

This was really fun to make. I used my "FUSION FLOWERS". These are little felt flowers that match a number of stamp sets and can be used on top of some of the flowers after they are stamped on cards and you can also use rub ons on the flowers.

This set is one of the Level 3 Hostess Stamp sets, Time Well Spent. I really like this set, you can do so many fun things with it. I've used it on note card boxes as well.

Crab & Company is a fun set. I've used it for Christmas, Birthdays and now Valentines Day. The Stampin' Round wheel at the bottom accents with the shells and starfish.
Check out some of these really fun new sets & accessories and try them for yourself; you'll be surprised with all the fun things you can come up with. Well, the weekend is not over, so maybe you'll see more before it's over.

Catalogs

I have attached a link to the Stampin' Up Spring Summer Collections Catalog and a link to the Sell-A-Bration catalog. So now you can look before you actually get it in the mail!!!

Sunday, January 20, 2008

I've had a lazy but productive weekend. I've been in my pajamas stamping more than I've been dressed!! I needed to make some thank you cards (a little late for Christmas) and cased a card my upline had given to me. I think it's gorgeous, but I think you have to see it in real life to really appreciate it. I've also included a side view trying to pick up the sparkle of the irridescent Ice I used on the tree.

I also put together my cards for the January clubs. I think they are really cute and I LOVE the "rub ons". The ones I made are entirely rub ons, but I need to put together some others that have rub ons on and around stamped images... maybe this afternoon. The Sell-A-Bration catalog has rub ons that come 4 sheets to a package instead of the 2 sheets out of the Idea Book. The four sheets are the same, but in Black, White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.
The next two are others we will be making for January.

I love the sparkle from th Irridescent Ice on the flower and butterfly from the Time Well Spent Level 3 Hostess set and obviously can't get enough of the Elephant from the Happy Heart Set, which is also on special only for the month of January. I saw from another demonstrator that has the same love of the elephant that she actually named her Elsie. So I guess from now on that's what I'll call her because I can't seem to justice with Suzie or Gloria or something LOL.

Our demonstrator group gets together occassionally for a shoebox swap to get ideas on new stamp sets or holidays, etc. We are doing a shoebox swap this week using Sell-A-Bration sets. The one I used was Merci and this is what I came up with. Sometimes I actually shock myself and come up with something on my own. I actually think it came out pretty good. This is called a "tent card" and I used lots of designer paper from the Ginger Blossom package and used the new Duo-Green beads which come as a set with green micro beads and small beads you can string. I have some fun ideas to do with the stringing beads that I will put together to show you. WOW, another idea from my own thoughts... wonders will never cease!!! Let me know if you like this card.
The showbox swap is like preparing for a workshop. We prepare, cut out papers, etc. and package into individual sets for each attendee. We then (in this case) have 2-1/2 hours to make 14 cards (one from each participant). It is really so much fun. After I come back from the Shoebox Swap next Thursday, I'll post some of the other cards we made.

I think it's time to get dressed and look like I'm alive, then I can start putting together some other ideas I have and share with you.

I have attached the link to the Stampin' Up Promotion for the month of January (Valentines Bundle); just click on the highlighted promotion. For $33.40 you can purchase the Happy Heart Day Stamp Set, 50 medium cellophane bags, and the 5/8" red ribbon and receive a roll of 5/8" Regal Rose ribbon free. That's a savings of $8.00.

If you choose to hold a workshop during the month of January and have $350.00 in merchandise sales; you can choose ANY stamp set from the Spring Summer preview catalog for free. That's in addition to the free hostess stamps and merchandise you would earn. With $350.00 in merchandise sales, you would be eligible for either a level 1 or level 2 hostess set as well as receiving $40.00 of merchandise of your choice from the Spring Summer Catalog.

So, here's the plan..........have a workshop (either at your house or mine); invite all of your friends, we'll make 3 really fun cards using new stamp sets from the new Spring Summer Catalog; they'll order a total of $350.00 in merchandise; you can order the Valentines Special and you could receive approximately $115.00 in free merchandise just for having a night out with your friends. How Fun is THAT!!!!

Retired Stamp Sets & Accessories

I finally figured out how to post my Retired Stamp Sets and other accessories. The slideshow on the right side contains all the items I have left for sale. Two items that didn't upload are the Word by Word background stamp and the Hollyhock wheel; let me know if you are interested in those and I can get you the details. If you click on the picture in the slideshow, it will say what it is and what the sale price is. Also, when you click on one of the items, it brings up another page and you can click on "view album" and see all of the items on one page. If you see anything you want, please let me know. If you live out of the area and can't pick it up, shipping will be added to the total cost. For those of you that don't know, I also take credit/debit cards for any purchases.

The Retired Sale I held on 1-10-08 was really fun and we made the cute Valentine card you see using the new Happy Heart Day set that's in the new catalog. It also uses the new Ginger Blossom Designer Series paper. I really like all the new papers and they are so much brighter and awesome in real life than what you see in the catalog.

OK, I didn't do what I intended yet (still melting down from Christmas ..... and still putting together everything for Thursday night.) I do have some fun new cards done, just not uploaded yet. I spent my night watching sad movies tonight instead of stamping. If you haven't watched "The Mighty".... I know I missed it 10 years ago.... but I spent the evening crying tonight. If you haven't seen it; I know you will like it.

I still will post my new cards I've made and also what I'm doing in preparation for Thursday night!!!!! The new papers and new stamp sets are to die for.... I love them and will share some fun ideas.
