I love doing Kristina's color challenges; but it seems like I'm always a day late and a dollar short in getting them done in time for the deadline. This time it worked out great because she extended the time to Monday since she's out of town for the weekend.... what luck for me LOL.
These colors go so great with each other. I used the Old Olive for the basic card, then used the Bella Rose DSP along the side and a strip of Ruby Red along side of the chocolate chip. The star was inked with Brocade Blue, then embossed with clear embossing powder. After I inked the chipboard star, the color looked much darker than the Brocade Blue, but it really is that color. I punched a piece of the Old Olive using the Scallop Circle Punch, then a piece of white using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I stamped the cat from the Zoofari Stamp set and colored it with my Pumpkin Pie Marker and highlighted the spots with Basic Black. I hung the star using Hemp Twine and adhered with a staple. The Sentiment is from Warm Words. I think this turned out really cute.
