BIG SHOT

I've had so much fun playing and experimenting with my new BIG SHOT, brought to us by Stampin' Up!!!! I was so surprised at how easy it is to use and how awesome the die-cuts are. I love the word phrases. I decided to put together a picture frame using the word phrase and the bird die-cuts. Of course since I had been playing with it, I was using retired designer series paper and in-colors to match, but in any event, isn't this so awesome??????? Since it's so early this morning, I don't have a very good picture and I kept getting my reflection in the glass LOL; Maybe later this afternoon, I will replace the picutre with one that is brighter. In real life this looks great. More fun stuff to come.

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!!

Today's the day we've all been waiting for....... the new Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog 2008. The catalog will be on my website after 12:00 today for you to go through. I've had my copy since convention and boy do I have a long list of "Must Haves". One of the most fun items I've been able to pre-purchase (as a demonstrator) is the Big Shot. I've had so much fun playing with it and putting projects together; in fact I'm sending off my first "gift" to several friends using the die cuts. It makes putting them together so easy and fun. They are unique from what we've had previously.
Check out my Stampin' Up blog http://www.janetelam.stampinup.net/ for all the specials that are available RIGHT NOW.
1. Sign up to be a Demonstrator for only $99.00
2. Purchase 10 stamp sets from the new Fall/Winter catalog at 15% off the regular price
3. Big Shot Die-Cut Machine

Also, don't forget all the "new stamp sets" in the catalog are all die-cut..... what a breeze to put together.

Don't forget that if you join my clubs and/or technique classes, you will receive a Catalog for FREE. Call or email me to sign up for classes starting in September.

Convention this year was absolutely fabulous. We spent two different sessions working with our "new" stamp sets fromt he Fall/Winter catalog in make and takes. I have attached pictures of what we did. The first picture is using the new 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon and gathered together making a circle flower. The outside edge of the ribbon was done using Crystal Effects and the Silver Chunky Glitter. The center of the "flower" is set on the box with a rub-on from the new "Hidden Garden" rub-on package and a pink rhinestone brad from the "fire" collection in the center. The card and envelope that goes with the box is stamped from the new Eastern Blooms stamp set.

In the next picture, you will see a really cute gift bag. The stamp set used here is sooo much fun. It is the new "Inspired by Nature". You will notice that the stamp has two sides (the flower silouette and the grass). There are also two word phrases included, one of which is shown "Live with Passion". We also made a really cute scrapbook page using the new "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set. You will also notice that we used chipboard letters from the On Board Loads of Letters, which we sponged with white craft ink. A new fusion flower along with one of the new buttons from the button Bouquet set. This button is in one of the new In-Colors, Baja Breeze. Another card in this picture with the large circle is also using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set, the new Chocolate Chip 1" double-stitched grosgrain ribbon, a letter from the On Board Loads of Letters and some of the new In-Color cardstock (riding hood red and baja breeze). The other colors are More Mustard and Certainly Celery. The bottom is punched using the new Scallop Edge Punch. The smaller item is a "mini album". It is sooo cute and easy to make. The image shown is from the new Eatern Blooms stamp set and the words are fromthe Fundamental Phrases.
The next picture shows items again from the Eastern Blooms set and using the new Floral Frenzy Classy Brass Template. The image is "debossed", then brayered with the new Tangerine Tango classic in-color ink. This card is also using new in-color cardstock, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. The tall card and envelope is usingf the Inspired by Nature set. I'm beginning to think this is one of my new favorite sets. The flower image was stamped in Chocolate Chip over the grass image which was stamped subtly using versa mark. And lastly, the small item is a really cute bookmark. The bookmark is using the Eastern Blooms Stamp set and also some new hardware. The ones used here are the large and small filigree Designer brads. The ribbon is the new Pacific Point 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon.
Aren't these the cutest things? Later, I will share some of the really nice swap cards I received from some of the other convention attendees and pictures of some of my favorite stamping friends.

I'm Back!!!

I really haven't dropped off the ends of the earth. Just got back from the most amazing Stampin' Up Convention ever late, late, late Saturday night. Rested and went through things on Sunday and of course had to go back to work yesterday on Monday. It was a "tired" day. I will try to get some things posted tonight after I go through some of the fun pictures and make & takes to show you. Come back and visit this evening.
